Nuneaton Griff responded in style to Saturday's defeat, beating Coventry Colliery 4-0 away at Hawkesmill Sports Club on Tuesday 11th August, in a performance built on hard work and desire from the first whistle.

Matty Chadaway broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time, before second half goals from Ruben Wilson, Mihail Petrov and substitute Clay Powell completed the win.

Manager's Reaction

Speaking after the game, First Team Manager Wayne Hadley said:

"We had a great reaction from Saturday, learning a lot and putting it right. We won every battle on the field and by far wanted it the most from the first whistle. The line up had only two players in it above the age of 19, the future's bright, all 16 players were a credit to themselves."

"Really difficult to pick a Man of the Match, it was very much a collective effort. Goals from Chadaway on the stroke of half time, and second half goals from Wilson, Petrov and Clay Powell. The important thing now is we carry this into Saturday, at home to Coventrians."
