RS Sports 1-3 Nuneaton Griff - Coventry Evening Telegraph Cup

Saturday 26th September 2026

Nuneaton Griff booked their place in the next round of the Coventry Evening Telegraph Cup, beating RS Sports 3-1 at Stockingford Pavilion on Saturday 26th September, despite a below par performance.

Goals from Matty Chadaway, Mark Kintu and Henley Hadley secured the win, with Mihail Petrov named Man of the Match.

Manager's Reaction

Speaking after the game, First Team Manager Wayne Hadley said:

"It's the story of our season really, a performance that was nowhere near the levels we set for ourselves. We're Jekyll and Hyde, last week great, this week poor."

"That's taking nothing from the opposition, they made a game of it, and we wish them all the best. The fortunate thing for us is we won and now we move on quickly to league action next week, Alvis away."

Goalscorers
