2025/26 End Of Season Awards - Nuneaton Griff

The 2025/26 season was not the one we had hoped for. Relegation is never easy to accept.

But a challenging year does not erase the effort, the dedication and the moments of genuine quality that were produced throughout it, and those deserve to be recognised.

Nuneaton Griff Football Club held their end of season awards evening to do exactly that.

Here is a full rundown of this season's award winners, every one of them thoroughly deserved.

Clubman of the Year:

James Edmonds

The standout award of the evening, and one that was met with tremendous warmth from everyone in the room.

James Edmonds has shown a level of commitment and endeavour towards Nuneaton Griff that has been truly heartwarming, and all the more remarkable given the personal battles he has faced away from the club this season.

Volunteers of the Season:

Michael Kettle, Stephen Wilson & Jamie Knowles

Three individuals whose contribution to the matchday experience and the running of the club simply cannot be overstated.

Michael Kettle and Stephen Wilson have given their time and energy tirelessly throughout the season, and our very own Griff mascot Jamie Knowles has brought something truly special to the club week in, week out.

These people are priceless to Nuneaton Griff Football Club.

Special Recognition:

Louis Evans

A special mention was made on the night for Louis Evans, whose passion and commitment to the Griff has been infectious throughout the season.

Louis represents exactly what this club needs, enthusiasm you can genuinely feel and bounce off.

He is the future of this football club and we need more people like him on board.

Youth Team Managers' Player of the Season

Henry Atubra

Recognised by his own management team for his performances throughout the campaign, Henry Atubra receives the Youth Team Managers' Player award.

Congratulations, Henry.

2nd Team Players' Player of the Season

Hayden Whitley

Hayden Whitley takes the Reserves Players' Player of the Season award following a consistent and impressive campaign for the second string.

Voted for by his own teammates, this is always one of the most meaningful awards of the evening, so a big congratulations Hayden.

2nd Team Coaches' Player of the Season

Carson Mullins

Recognised by the 2nd Team coaching staff for his performances and attitude throughout the season, Carson Mullins picks up the Coaches' Player award.

A thoroughly merited recognition. Well done Carson.

First Team Young Player of the Year & Youth Team Players' Player of the Season

Zach Edmonds

Zach Edmonds made it a memorable double on the night, and this award tells you everything you need to know about the talent this young man possesses.

In the final two months of the season alone, Zach featured for the Youth Team, the 2nd Team and the First Team, and took every step up completely in his stride.

Congratulations Zach, you have thoroughly earned this.

First Team Supporters' Players of the Season:

Matt Chadaway & Reece Williams

The First Team Supporters' Player of the Season award was shared this year between two players who, for very different reasons, captured the hearts of the Griff faithful throughout the campaign.

Matt Chadaway, or Chadders as he's known by, is one of a small number of loyal players who stuck with the club through the transition period late in the season when it would have been easy to walk away. Congrats on your award Chadders, it's well deserved.

Reece Williams missed the first three or four games after the new manager came in through injury, and that absence only served to highlight just how important he is to this team. When Reece came back in, the difference was immediate. Congratulations Reece.
